I think you got the timelines mistaken. The Led Zeppelin thing happens after AB was established. The big band he was referring to that he turned down and didn't want to audition in the end of that video might have been Velvet Revolver. That period between The Mayfield Four ending and AB beginning.

around that time in the forums there was a lot going on about people getting in trouble for doing it. I legit thought the user had nefarious means and was trying to get the board and users in trouble. Notice how he only had 1 post and he was asking users to do rule breaking things? That's why I didn't do it. That's why I was abrasive towards him. But, if you want to correct my 'mistake', go ahead and do it. But obviously the guy never really had a passion for the forums since he only made 1 post and never returned.

Found this interview/conversation between Citizen Swing's bassist and MF4's bassist, pretty interesting stuff there about the bands.

I dont every song by MF4 is like 10 out of 10.

But over the years yeah, my opinion changed. Mayfield Four are pretty solid and they got some damn good stuff.
