Re: The Ides of March
Frankly I havent been super excited about this album, so Im just gonna chalk it up to karma for not being as hyped for it as I should be I guess They saw how often I've mentioned my lack of hype and decided to just block my IP Address from listening to the albums previews

Re: "Come on man, just one hit!!!"
I checked Myles' website and where initial caps was used, "of" wasn't capitalized.
Also, checking Australia iTunes before a Myles release is to Shea what tapping veins is to a heroin junkie

Well, forget everything I said about what the themes of Ides of March is about. Myles gave a brief description on all the songs on Loudwire.

Re: The Ides of March
After one listen through of the new songs, I feel like the album was decent. My biggest gripe is the sore absence of guitar solos on this record. Nothing stood out to me at all lead-wise except for maybe some bluesy passages like in Worried Mind or Ides of March. Its mostly just a lyric/melody/vocal-centric record for me. Myles sounds good in all the songs but there wasnt much range in the album either from what I could gather. Not any major low vocals or high notes come to mind.
Standouts from the new songs: A Thousand Words, Wanderlust Begins, Worried Mind
Faves from the whole album: Ides of March, Love Rain Down, A Thousand Words

i'm on in stride right now - this could be the most dad rock album ever, i think it's endearing though haha

ahhh it's killing me, a thousand words would've been an amazing alter bridge song

WAKE ME WHEN IT'S OVER IS PERFECT
Re: The Ides of March
Wanderlust Begins & Worried Mind are early favourites for me. Anyone else get a Mayfield Four vibe from Worried Mind?

Wow, so "Wanderlust Begins" was probably a song of his unreleased solo record, that'll be three songs already.anguyen92 wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 4:28 pm Well, forget everything I said about what the themes of Ides of March is about. Myles gave a brief description on all the songs on Loudwire.
