So, it looks like Myles is doing two shows at the Download Festival. One show going to be with his & Company band on the Friday and the other show with be standalone acoustic on the Sunday. Hard to tell from here if it will happen by June 2021, but hopefully, the world will have itself in order by then. I guess the key question is where does that leave AB in the Summer 2021 since they cannot tour this summer?

Yeah, quite weird that AB doesn't appear on the line up. I assumed they delayed, not canceled, their tour.

For me it seems quite surreal that Myles is going to play on such a huge festival with his small solo project. Just imagine having such a big stage for one single dude with a guitar. :D

He's not playing the main stage.

Cool, I think it's safe to say this means his new album will be out by then.

He's currently recording the guitars (Zia has done drums and TT has tacked bass) for solo album #2. I'd guess it would be the 3 of them on stage ala Myles' YOTT tour.

Well, for Download to try to get going this year was probably optimistic, so oh well.

Anywho, Hellfest is coming back in a large way, next year. It's a seven-day festival and Myles is on it behind GNR and Airbourne (now that does not mean he's going directly before those guys since how Hellfest works is that they alternate stages. I can see him playing before Epica and Nightwish)

For those that still cares, Myles has a Fall tour coming up. Supporting act will be Tyler Bryant.

No West Coast dates yet. No worries, I'm sure they are still playing the waiting game to see if small venues can be opened yet right? I hope he has some West Coast dates and I can make another trip out of it. It's hard to tell where AB will be at in 2022, because I think Slash and Co. probably wants to do some shows in early 2022 when they are allowed to.

Watched a clip of Myles playing Mars Hotel from all the way back in June and I couldnt even get through with him talking and laughing at his "poor" writing skills from his earlier days.

I wonder if he's going to do the same in 20 years about the lyrics he's writing right now. He'd have a lot more to laugh at then.

Ouch Timo.

But yeah it bums me out during Mars Hotel, one of my favourite melodies ever.

Right? I absolutely love the MF4 songs. The lyrics are totally organic and heartfelt and honest. Youth and pain and confusion are amazing muses and Myles should never apologize for or be embarrassed by that. There is such a purity and innocence about those MF4 songs that AB, with very few exceptions (Shed My Skin & Broken Wings for example) frankly has never matched.

Technically, most of St Louis is west of the Missipppi, but you get the point

So MK has all of October and November available between his east-half-of-the-US tour and the UK tour. Wonder if he'll try to add any western US dates or if that time is reserved for Slash stuff already.

^^ I highly doubt it. I mean I wouldn't be opposed to him doing one more run in the states prior to him going to Europe for the Summer festivals. I would probably make another trip out of it if he has four shows in the West Coast. That stated, I'm thinking that he probably wants to do a tour with Slash and Co and then there's the idea of AB VII looming. Don't think he has the timing to get everything down prior to potentially AB going back on tour in Fall 2022. Something may give and it could be that this tour would not be as lengthy of the Year of the Tiger tour.

Agreed.
The MF4 were an amazing band.
IMHO, artists in general should not self-depricate too much or laugh at their earlier work.
Why?
1. Because most of the time, they were at their best creatively and artistcally during their youth, even though they can't admit it or don't realize it.
2. Because those early songs probably mean a lot to some fans around the world.

Depending on how my experience with Tremonti and Sevendust goes, I might go see Myles in Red Bank, NJ at the end of the month.
