It took me until the chorus to figure out this wasn't the song Cauterize :lol I was all confused, because it sounded nothing like the live version, lol.

Anyway, I like Cauterize as an album title. Some cool parts in that teaser as well.

OMG I'm so pumped. I'm assuming Radical Change is the first single based on the teaser.

Radical Change sounds ok from what I heard. Kind of like how Flying Monkeys is kind of a simple riff (and a little underwhelming). I was personally hoping for Cauterize or Sympathy, as I loved those clips. But I need to hear the whole thing before I judge.

For those who went to the listening party, how mind blowing were the solos?

I'm with Zaz that none of the solos in particular -blew my mind- on the first listen like the Bleed it Dry one was for me where I rewound it before finishing the song, but you can't go wrong with Tremonti and Erock has a few this time around and his style really breathes a very complementary diversity into the album that fits well.

BUT they were playing the album really loud and it's hard to hear a lot of the intricacies of what's happening when the volume starts to washout. I'm sure once the album drops I'll have some new favorites.

Agreed -- nothing took my breath away, but I couldn't hear the songs well enough to get a proper sense of the solos. I remember thinking a few times, "damn that's some great guitar work," but it was hard to make out what exactly was being played (or who was even playing it, for that matter).

Thanks for the info, guys. Trying not to get too wound up about the release. I'm sure I'll love it. Can't wait to hear some of these live.

Just realized the track list is the exact same as the first 10 from the ratings list. Interesting. i guess our feedback was exclusively to determine what should be a single.

Or was used to decide on the album name in the end? As Cauterize was a favorite among attendants...

Also they DID say the first ten were gonna be on the album, but maybe switch out 1 or two songs if they had a massively better response on the sheets... guess that didn't occur... (though i am not totally sure it was something Mark said in the open on the night, or that it was discussed with mark, dan, tim or one of the others just before or right after the performance)

I thought I remembered hearing the DJ say something to that affect, but then I figured I was just crazy. :)

Have it on good authority that those are the official lyrics for that part.
Listening again, I'm fairly certain now it's "make us sure again".

i wonder if Tore My Heart Out will keep that title or if they'll change it. Mark said it was the working title at the listening party.
