I have to agree with E-Rock. Take You With Me is my favorite song Mark has written in a decade.

And it's the one that sounds like Creed - the irony.

Not really. More pop punk influence than anything.

What Creed song does that sound like in the slightest?

Or are you thinking of The First The Last?

What Tremonti song does it sound like in the slightest? I think the shock factor of it coming from the metal band is greater than if it would have come out with Creed.

Sure, it sounds completely different from other Tremonti songs and brings in more of a pop/punk and Foo Fighters influence, but I don't find it ultimately unexpected coming from Tremonti at all as it still has some metal influences as well. That's basically what the Tremonti band is in a nutshell.

Still doesn't make the song sound like Creed.

It's upbeat and catchy, which I love. Very modern sounding. Doesn't sound like Creed other than being an earworm.

I don't like that Mark calls the woman a hoe in the first verse of Trust.

When you see a post so ridiculous you double check the lyrics just to make sure :lol

For some reason the intro of Desolation has some Myles Kennedy vibe imo.

The album suffers from not having Wolfie on it. I miss his basslines.

He did have a unique tone that brought colour to some stuff.

I think Erock did an amazing job on the bass in this album, personally. I dont think Wolfie being on the album would have made much of a difference to anything except the three-part harmonies.

Erock plays bass like a guitarist. It's sounds fine, because it's in key, but it's nowhere as creative as the basslines on Cauterize and Dust. I've often hailed Wolfie as the guy that lifted those albums to another level.

Idk that is sounds exactly like a particular Creed song - just a Creed sounding song in general. But, if someone had a gun to my head I guess I would say Rain/My Sacrifice, and maybe a hint of Stand Here With Me. The drums are not Creed at all, whoever said that was right.

The First The Last sounds like a worship song to me. I would like to know (seriously); do the people on here who like The First The Last - do you also like worship music? It really sounds like a Hillsong United tune or something - which isn't bad.

You know until you mentioned it I never really made that connection with it sounding like a worship song, musically anyway, but I can definitely see that. I do actually enjoy a lot of worship music, Hillsong United being one of my favorites.

Also, it's funny that you mentioned Rain, because I have always felt that it sounded a lot like a worship song.

I do like some worship as well. I can see the connection with Rain - although it's a little fast and the vocals are pretty high in a few spots.

In an interview with Loudwire, Mark Tremonti said the following about A Dying Machine's tracklist "On the album, I didn't want to tell the story from start to finish, because if you did that, the sequence would be weird dynamically." After listening to the album multiple times, I was wondering if anybody on this forum has figured out where the songs would fit in chronogical order. I tried taking a stab at it, but ultimately got nowhere.
