In this video, he talks about the birth of With Arms Wide Open.
Weirdly enough, he says he thinks about each one of his THREE kids every time he plays it.
Which means he doesn't think about the one kid if was written for. :wtf

well maybe he's talking as if "kid" in the literal way. Jagger is an adult. maybe the song connects to him best if he's thinking about his young children. Or yeah maybe he and jagger just dont get along i dont know

What’s this life for is a great song. Same with One and Hide, etc.

I'm wondering what Stapp has been doing with his time during the last 3 years.
Everybody's back on the road or releasing albums.
As far as I know, he's played a handful of public shows during the last year, as well as some private ones.
Is music still his main thing, or does he do something else with his time?

Full-time little league coach? I definitely wish he was more active while he's still able to give decent vocal performances.

Who knows?
Maybe he works behind the scenes in the Nashville music industry and does a couple of concerts from time to time in the week-end, like many artists these days.
It just costs too much to tour extensively if you're not that big.

if that's the case, then why not release a new record? The guy is wasting his youth in regards to creating music. once you hit a certain age your voice and musical writing ability kinda goes away

Here's a full show.
The band seems to have a great time.

If you want a laugh, look at what happens at the 25th minute with the mic stand.
Stapp's got some skills!

Being an Aussie, this Natalie Imbruglia song brought back memories. Great song and Stapp did a pretty good job with it. But I agree, it’s weird hearing him sing it.

I bet that cover started as a joke because of Torn being songs by both Creed and Natalie Imbruglia.

I had no idea that Imbruglia's version is a cover:

Great news: Stapp's got a new solo album coming.
Music producer Joel Wanasek reacts to "Purpose For Pain" by Scott Stapp, originally mixed by Chris Baseford on the album “The Space Between The Shadows.”
And in the comments, he says this:
Yes I mixed 4 songs off Scott’s upcoming album. Baseford mixed the rest. Scott is such a nice guy and so incredibly gifted. Super excited for that to drop!

Interesting. I know Stapp wanted it out this year so maybe we're still gonna get a November/Winter release
