Creed Voted Worst Band of the 90's

I came across this article and couldn't help to laugh. They're really are some clueless music fans out there. Honestly, how people could hate Creed is beyond me. They had one hell of a run and they are quite talented. IMO the worst band of the 90's was Limp Dizkit

There are hundreds of bands that are worse than the ones on this list.
These polls are stupid anyway.
By the way, I love both Limp Bizkit and Creed. Very different bands, but both had a very similar path.

Unknown in 1997.
On top of the world in 2000.
Both had a charismatic and arrogant frontman who was HATED by everyone in the media.
The guitar player leaves in the early 2000's, and the bands falls apart.
Both bands make a comeback in 2009, but the guitar player is more focused on his side project.
Both bands are chasing their former glory, but it will never happen.

Here is what Fred Durst had to say a few years ago about success.

It's funny, because I'm on a Limp Bizkit board, and they are saying the exact same thing about Creed.
For them, Creed is the worst thing that ever happened to music.

I'm not a huge Nirvana fan, but #5 worst? Seems odd.

Now, I find this quote interesting.

Rolling Stone say: "It's no surprise Creed won this poll – it wasn't even close. This is a band so hated that their own fans sued them after a famously bad show in Chicago in 2003.

Now, they did sue only Stapp or they just sued the band as an entity?

Also, I like this quote, imo.

Tremonti's recent self-titled solo band and Kennedy's work with Slash have been generally more warmly welcomed than anything by the original outfits.

How bad is this Creed backlash anyway? I keep hearing about it, but I find nothing horrendous to warrant this backlash, other than Stapp's past actions.

Creed is one of if not the most criticized band on the internet lol. It all stems from people hating Stapp. Sure, he brought a lot of things on himself, but no human being deserves to have their past continually stirred up 10+ years later.
