Your favourite Creed record?

Post by Dolo »

So lately I've been listening to Creed albums in theirs entiety and a pretty interesting question occured to me - What is your favourite Creed album guys?

As far as I am concerned, I would say Human Clay. This album pretty much presents the essence of the work of this band, Mark's mainly "rockish" playing style before he got involved in metal, the amazing groove from the rhythm section, it is probably the most consistent record these guys have done. I love songs like Beautiful, Wrong Way (that groove!), Never Die, Say I and shame that majority of people judge this album by tunes like Higher or With Arms Wide Open.

Waiting for your response guys.

I think their most well rounded albums would be MOP and HC. MOP is their grungiest album.

It's hard to state what my favorite is...but a a whole I would say MOP. Maybe it's because I've heard HC a little too much.

My Own Prison for me. All the songs are great except for "Sister" never really cared for that song. 9.5/10 album as it is. Replace Sister with Bound & Tied then the album would be a 10/10.

As much as I love Faceless Man I'm gonna go with Weathered, that album has a perfect blend of songs.

Probably My Own Prison. Despite the awful production value, it just has so many timeless tracks - "My Own Prison", "One", "What's This Life For", "Illusion"...

1. Human Clay
2. My Own Prison
3. Weathered
4. Full Circle

I actually think Weathered has the better all around song writing compared to My Own Prison, but I still like My Own Prison a little more due to its raw sound/passion.

'Human Clay' is their most ambitious album so I'll go with that one. 'My Own Prison' would be a close second.

Human Clay. Honestly, my least favorite songs on it are Higher and Arms Wide Open. Just because they're on the radio all the time. Way too popular.

Songs like Wash Away The Years and Beautiful are just two that make the album kick ass. Weathered is a close 2nd. Then My Own Prison. Full Circle, as good of a modern rock album as it is, just wasn't very Creed aside from one or two songs

I've always had a hard time choosing between the 3 old school albums (Full Circle is just..meh). Each one has moments of being fantastic, and hold such great memories. From a musical standpoint, I think Human Clay was easily their peak.
