When can we expect...

We've all been hearing that Myles and Mark will be back to throwing ideas around at the end of the year. When (realistically) do you's guys think we can expect the new record? Is next fall too early?

Rumor is sometime next year which based on tradition means sometime before 2016

To me, this depends on the 2013 plans for Slash/Creed. I could see Alter Bridge getting an album out by fall 2013 if that's Mark and Myles' main focus. If they do end up getting together to write in January, I'm not sure when they'd actually start recording.

But in all likelihood, zaz is on the right track lol.

When they get time. Which is fine by me. I'd rather have it pushed back and everyone be happy than have a rushed album that sounds like utter crap and have people mad at other people.
I'll listen to Mark and Myles no matter what band they're in.

I hope that they will do writing and recording in December/January so we can expect album release in summer/fall of 2013. They did similar thing with ABIII (recording in February/March, release in October).

Last Slash/Myles show in 2012 is at the end of November. So maybe they can enter studio sometime in December.

On their Facebook page it said sometime in 2013, but I honestly don't mind if it's pushed back to 2014 or so. As long as they take their time like they did with Blackbird, I can wait as long as it takes.

If it's 2013 they probably already have alot of concrete ideas. I remember watching something on youtube or one of the dvd's where Mark says he's always writing. And just that day he had written a bridge or something.

I know I'm getting my hopes up, but I'd love to have some new AB stuff to go back roading to next fall when the leaves are turning colors.

I can't remember exact interviews, but I'm pretty sure Mark has mentioned he and Myles have thrown around some ideas with each other for the next album as well. They're both constantly writing individually, but I think they both know the direction they want to go in for the next album.

Same here, it should be released when the band really feel that it is ready to be released. Like they did with Blackbird.
