Re: Do you love the album art?
Love the album name but the artwork is honestly horrendous. When one thinks of a "fortress" they imagine a keep or like a medieval themed castle or something along those lines. At least that's what all my fairy tale books told me as a kid.
With this artwork they should've just named the album "Ricketty House" or "Shack." They could've done MUCH better considering they were given the title "Fortress."

That's the point of the concept.

Have the band members actually said anything about this 'concept'? Or is just something the fans are making up or reading in to make themselves feel better about the artwork?
Re: Do you love the album art?
Myles said it, check the main Fortress thread.

Making up, reading in, interpreting.. You choose.
We don't know exactly what direction they are going with this, but it's super obvious there is a concept.

Myles mentioned the concept of the song Fortress a little bit in an interview. It's mainly about how all things in the world can eventually crumble down.BSC wrote:Have the band members actually said anything about this 'concept'? Via Mark: ''My good buddy asked me to paint his house for his birthday, good times!''
That's a nice... FORTRESS

At Mark's birthday this year a bunch of the guys got together at his house for a painting party lol.

I really like it. For me, it evokes Springsteen's Nebraska (which only makes me more interested in the album).

well.. perhaps the answer by fret12 was wrong about the one on alter bridge facebook being the correct one.. the cover that shows upo litterally everywhere is the one without the signs next to the door...abw1987 wrote:↑ Wrong album art!!! ↑

Yup, I think that's likely to be the correct one given how prevalent it is.
