Peace is Broken
Riffs: Good. Chorus: Very Good. Bridge: Wonderful. Solo: Good. I don't know, it is not epic like Fortress or Cry of Achilles, but an album can not be made just of those kind of songs.

Ghost of days gone by
First, before the release, Michael Tremonti hyped the intro like crazy. He even said he was afraid the whole album could be overshadowed by the intro. When I first listened, I thought: is that it? Good, but the overhyped just killed for me.

Moving foward, the song starts strong, with a great deep voice from Myles and good melody. The chorus is ok, but it never appeal to me.

After the bridge, the song goes in a spiral down. I mean, the solo is ok, but the chorus comes flat and the end, too repetitive, just screams and almost no melody. That was kill it for me.

Glad to hear your reasoning. I personally think the whole song is amazing. But I wasn't following the hype train when AB III came out either.

So having recently done an AB discography playthrough/review I have 23 songs which I'd say are 10/10 Here are the ones which I'd rank the best of those 23.

I want to like Cradle to the Grave so bad, but 3 years later, I still cannot get the fuck over the way Myles pronounces "GRAYYVUHH" and "ESCAAAHHYUPPP" in the chorus. Like just that little thing and the whole song is ruined for me despite having the sickest solo on the album and being pretty solid all around throughout every other part.

^ I thought that was just me. I still like the song, but that part gets to me as well. Then the fact that the main riff/verse parts reminds me of that JoJo song's chorus.

I never understood why you guys hyped that song so much, to be honest.

Because its imo a perfect song. Love the way Myles words the chorus btw. Why i love it. The finger picked intro is beautiful and the power chords that come behind it give the intro oomph. Then it lays back into this groove which Myles sings with so much emotion. The chorus might be my fav AB chorus. The bridge and solo are perfection. Now im not going to pick on songs on your list boys and girls.Actually like this even more than Blackbird

Love, love the escaaaaahhyp bit, would be a kickass live song. One of my fav things about Myles as a vocalist is the way he puts vocal slants on words and choruses to imo great affect
