I wouldn't be so sure. The new music suits his heel turn, but he'll have Metalingus back when he's a baby-face again.
Naturally, but I bet the heel run lasts a year or two if the stable keeps growing.

----During the chorus of Zero, what exactly are the harmonies? Is it just one Mark singing a note higher or lower than Myles?

---- Solace has a better chorus lyrically (compared to cruel sun) but Cruel Sun has a better chorus overall.

Random question for y'all! Aside from the early One Day Remains demos, are there any later AB songs you would like to hear Mark take over lead vocals on?

Personally, I'd love to hear him sing Show Me A Sign! It's slower, lower, sludgier... I think it'd be perfect for Mark's voice. It's an overlooked favorite of mine and I'd love to hear it played live again!

Watching the Today show and they were talking about the upcoming Leonard Cohen Hallelujah documentary and Myles flashed on screen for half a second. Guess he’s going to be in the documentary!

That's cool. Was he being interviewed during the bit that flashed up? Or was it footage of him performing a cover?

Just interviewed. Hadn’t considered a performance being a possibility, but there are so many covers of Hallelujah that I’d be surprised if one of his made it in.

Leonard Cohen basically wrote the song.

But you gotta admit, the version that most people think of when they hear the song is the piano version with John Cale. (Shrek movie, etc)

Im not saying the Buckley version isnt well known. But yeah he took the Cale arranagement and expanded upon it.

Mark and Myles performed yesterday with their solo projects at Rock im Park. Tomorrow, both will also play at Rock am Ring which will be streamed here.

Myles will start at 14:35 (or 2:35 pm CET), Tremonti directly afterwards at 15:35 (3:35 pm) on the same stage. I Don't know if the stream will be available outside of Germany, but I'm quite sure it will land on Youtube afterwards, anyways. Hopefully the sound mixing will not be as bad as the past few times they were there with Alter Bridge.

Get your own amps off the stage, kid

Would have been nice if Mark came out during Myles's set or vice versa and they played some Alter Bridge. It's been way too long since they've played live together.

^^ I'm hoping for something in Download this weekend. Myles is playing a solo acoustic set on the same day Tremonti is playing. They need to start the buzz somehow. Why not there?

I Know It Hurts has got to be one of my all time favorite underrated tunes! I'd love to hear Mark and Myles do an acoustic rendition of that one...

Anyone else think that Home could easily have been a high charting single?

Not really.
I love the 3 bonus songs off AB 3.5 but I believe that's a rather unpopular opinion here.

I think that 80% of AB songs (especially from the later albums) could work as singles but I highly doubt that it would chart.

With some tweaks here and there, I feel like Godspeed could have been a monster hit.

Now and then I'll listen to this sped up version of the song. Obviously it's not ideal because Myles sounds more chipmunk like as a result. But I find the change in tempo really makes the song seem more joyful.

Or I could just be barking up the wrong tree :lol

I liked this! Sure, could use some lower vocals, but the music was interesting.
I broke out my record player a few weeks ago and played WTS. Had it set to the wrong speed and got a similar result with Clear Horizon (sounded like speed metal + chipmunk singer). Was kind of cool, but I think it was just hearing it differently that made it fun. Your version sounded much better :lol
