Losing Patience. Not sure why people love it.

You Will be Remembered. It just sounds predictable and cheesy.
Re: Least Favourite Song From The Last Hero
I'm kinda shocked that you guys don't like "You Will Be Remembered". Sure, it's not super amazing, but still much better than "My Champion"
"My Champion" and "Poison In Your Veins" are the only two songs on this album that annoy me.

Re: Least Favourite Song From The Last Hero
We should really have a poll for worst song for EU and one for US. I think we will see a large skew on which one really dislikes You Will Be Remembered.
I'm upset that it does not make my hair raise like some of their other power ballads to, but I could easily chalk that up to the sound mix as much as the song itself.

Just curious how the listening party format was. It seems to me like they could have been in a dimly-lit room where somebody was next to the iPhone, hit the play button, and the four band members sat on their stools, hands folded/on knees, and their heads tilted a bit down as they look at the floor, and slightly nod to their own music while the song is playing, looking up every so often to see the crowd's reactions.gbruin wrote:At the Listening Party, zaz asked Myles which song would make him cry. Myles said it would probably be You Will Be Remembered.
I'm pretty sure this is not what he meant.
Haha no seriously, what was it like?

I'd try to make eye contact with Myles the entire time.

Re: Least Favourite Song From The Last Hero
It was in the Beacham Theater in Orlando which has a capacity of ~1200, but there were like 300 people there. The band had all their gear set up on stage for their show, and there was a computer on a table out front of the gear. A local DJ introduced each new song and hit play on the computer and the music played through the venue's PA. It sounded really good. The lights were down and the crowd was pretty much spread out through the place instead of being pushed towards the front when the band came on. We never saw the band in the venue until they came on stage, but I like to think that the guys were sitting somewhere private where they could watch the audience's reaction.MuffinMcFluffin wrote:Just curious how the listening party format was. You Will Be Remembered. I have yet to listen to the entire thing. Soon as the chorus hits, I have to change it. Terrible song.
Re: Least Favourite Song From The Last Hero
First few listens it was You Will be Remembered, but I think it has grown on me a little to the point where I now think My Champion is worse. Basically I cbf with the cheesy AB songs anymore.

They could have cut Twilight and Losing Patience, and I wouldn't have batted an eye.
That said, I voted Twilight. SMaL would be my third.

This Side of Fate. Hands down. There has never been a more slapped together song in the band's entire catalogue. Literally not one thing about that song gels; it's just a collection of individual parts (some good, others not) haphazardly mashed together and called a song.
Actually, I feel like that description applies to most of the album. Sadly.

I also think it's held a little too high by most here. I enjoy it more than devv, but I can think of many songs on the record that I like more.

Re: Least Favourite Song From The Last Hero
Writing on the Wall is probably bottom 3 AB song period for me. I think I can confidently say that it has now overtaken We Don't Care At All and Cry a River as worst chorus.

YWBR, losing patience, or Twilight
Not sure which one I like least tho.

So weird. I actually was thinking how good TWOTW's chorus is. Love the way Myles sings to the chord changes, quite different. Decent chorus in my opinion.

Re: Least Favourite Song From The Last Hero
My "least favorite" song has changed three times. First it was WOTW, then it was Losing Patience. Now it is Twilight.
Re: Least Favourite Song From The Last Hero
coin toss between losing patience and twilight, though my champion is up there as well.. but as i said in the review, the songs around my champion make my champion a better song..

Not a big fan of You Will Be Remembered either, but the solo is very good.
