^^ That does sound like an interesting tidbit there.

On another note, now that things are getting closer when it comes to pre-album single releases, I will once again attempt to not listen to anything until the Listening Party. This time I may actually mean it, since I got a lot on my plate until then to be busy listening to single releases.

I gotta go to a listening party one of these days. I'll be traveling to a road preseason hockey game with friends and it unfortunately was scheduled before this was announced. Sad!

Dude if you go to the next Listening Party, I'll go too. Kept saying I was waiting until I had "adult money", but my adult ass adopted a new puppy so now I'm stuck

I can't believe I started out here living on $150 allowance every 2 weeks back in freshman year of college. Now most of us are adulting a decade+ later.

A track longer than Blackbird, this has me very excited. Interested to see what they do with it considering the review. Lots to be hyped about there though!

If that cover is legit, that reminds me so much of the Leyndell Capital in Elden Ring. That's actually gorgeous. I haven't been a fan of some of their recent covers, but that looks superb. Looks regal, almost.

That artwork looks pretty fantastic in full. I love the color scheme and the little details. Not a huge fan of skulls etc, but it looks great here as the head of the pawn.

Edit: there's a little bit of text on the left side of the bridge: "January 2 2004", and on the right side "Octobre 14 2022". Nice touch!

Is January 2, 2004 when they announced Alter Bridge?

That's when the band was officially formed. I'm not 100% sure if it's the second of January as it's really small, but I'm reading "2".

So Pawns & Kings isn't just epic, it's absolutely epic. Nice.

Shame there isn't a track 12 as that's always a belter. Usually these marketing spiels talk about which is the first single, but nothing here - maybe a sign it's coming sooner rather than later? I'd maybe guess on Silver Tongue based on the descriptions. Also cool to confirm Mark's on lead vocal on a track, though I hope some of the longer ones also do a little vocal swapping.

Will be totally honest and say I don't like the cover art at all, but the last one I didn't like when I saw it was Fortress, so maybe a good omen.

Pawns & Kings is the single, supposedly. Genius leaked that too along with the track list and cover art.
