Also, another view of Stay. Even though I like this tune, I'm not sure if it's interesting enough to stay in their set for the long term. Mark sounds great though.
I agree, Dan. With both Mark and Myles tied to their mics just strumming their guitars, it's not a very visually engaging song.
That's why you're supposed to hold your hands up high and throw 'em to the air.

To be different, Mark could go solo on this one on acoustic guitar.
The song is not insteresting at all but like the other ballads, this one would probably sound better with acoustic arrangements.

Yeah, that could be decent. Going off the last few set-lists it looks like they've ditched it already.

That's a pretty great setlist overall, IMO. Though I've never been a huge fan of Rise Today, it's really awesome that Paul Reed Smith joined them to play it.

I just can't get into Fable Of The Silent Son. I've listened to it quite a few times since its release, and although I like it more than I did initially, I still find a lot of things that I don't like about it.

Yeah, I don't think the album loses much if Fable wasn't on there. The title track is the real epic of the album in my opinion, even if it doesn't quite have the typical epic length.

I feel the same way about the title track.

I think Fable and the run of songs till the end of the album are the best material they've done since Fortress. With some distance, the first half of the album doesn't quite do it for me. However, this really does seem to be a a something for everyone album, as we all like different bits of it.

I've grown to really like the album as a whole. Some songs by themselves just don't do it for me, however. That one week where I only listened to albums helped me discover how much more/less I like songs within the context of their albums.

I'm predicting this is the last album in their "album every 3 years" tradition. I have a gut feeling Creed is going to push the AB calendar.

^^ I doubt it. Mark, from prior recent interviews, seems very clear to have intentions to have AB recording in early 2025.
