No wonder guitar based music is where it is when riffs like that win this kind of competition. Let's face it, Silver Tongue is not necessarily a great riff.

No, but I don't care - the overall song is fantastic. I've never had a single go this long without getting stale for me. Probably ready to say it's my favorite lead single they've ever done *braces for crucifixion*

How long after the album release would be appropriate to release the B-sides?
How long does it normally take...

6 months, 1 year ?

Halestorm just released some B-sides this past Friday, 7 months after the album release. Just an example.

I expect it in August, when they start promoting their second fall European tour.

Something about P&K's mixing makes it sound terrible in my car. My car's factory speakers no doubt suck, but most music still sounds fine on it. P&K sounds super muddy however; even more so than a typical AB album. I'm listening to it right now for the first time on my mixing speakers at my desk at home. It's definitely more enjoyable. Maybe I just need new speakers. At this point, I'm not sure if I don't like the way it sounds in my car or I just don't like the album.

Meanwhile I finally picked up Marching in Time and like all Tremonti albums, the production is crystal clear and everything is super tight... even on my crappy car speakers.

I think in terms of clarity and headache avoidance it ranks above TLH and WtS but below Fortress and ABIII. The arrangements are better but something is still a little off for me. It is weird because Tremonti's last two albums have sounded great to me (apart from the bass drum being too loud).

Don't know if anybody noticed, but there was an article published about every Avenged Sevenfold members' top 5 albums of 2022. Johnny Christ included Pawns & Kings in his list.

Sigh. Johnny can't spell Alter Bridge, and all of those weirdos sure like Weezer. :rolleyes

M. Shadows' Twitter handle is @shadows_eth and he seems to be deeeeep in the NFT-game. Ugh.

Thinking about where AB might stand on NFTs. Myles - thinks it's modern tech hellscape stuff. Mark - probably extensively researched them and decided he'd rather write another 3 albums and a book instead. Flip - made an NFT of his butt. Brian - bought Flip's NFT.

I think if AB waded into NFT territory, the guys would probably be the last to know. Mark and Myles didn’t even know anything about their fan club in the Eddie Trunk interview :lol (that was painfully awkward to watch)

and totally accurate

Being the fact that Holiday is the new single it's sad to me that it doens't have a solo :( I think it's a great song to have a solo in it.

I'm presuming this is sarcasm, or is there any basis to this?

Here's the new video for Holiday. Quite cool even though I don't get the idea behind the intro.
