I can't be 100% on who is the primary decision maker, but last time round Elvis was pushing them to find the single as they didn't have it yet (which lead to Myles coming up with the Wouldn't You Rather riff out of frustration) and Myles mentioned that Addicted to Pain was written quite early in the process of Fortress which took the pressure off, as they knew they had the single in the bag already. They no doubt have to get the okay from the label but I think they have a pretty big say in which gets chosen.
I don't think I have a preference for a type this time round, I just want that urge to repeat it after each play. I think either Native Son or Godspeed would've been better choices last time out.

Oh, I also expect the album to be full of chess references, so my guess for the name is "Checkmate"
I reckon "Queen's Gambit", and Mark will tell us that he came up with the title after watching the TV show "Queen's Gambit".

Interesting. I think 'Take The Crown' or 'Pay No Mind' would've worked better as lead singles. 'In The Deep' maybe, too.
But yeah, they haven't had a truly great lead single since ABIII.
(So in reality, I guess I think they have only two great lead singles - 'Open Your Eyes' and 'Isolation.')

Feel like we'd have had a mild tease by now if it was today

Nope..... still reading it as Prawns and Kings. That's what it's called now.

My favorite Alter Bridge song ever since I heard it for the second time. (Just a little tidbit: The second time you hear a song is the time you'll always remember every time you hear the song. You'll remember where you were, what you were doing, what you were thinking...For example, the second time I heard Breaking Benjamin's Angels Fall was when they played it at Louder Than Life. I was eating pizza at the time, so now every time I hear it, I can taste pizza.)

I remember the morning Addicted to Pain leaked. Was working at Hobby Lobby at the time and had just pulled into the parking lot. Actually left work early that day to listen to it all day.

Always liked the way AB started their shows with Addicted to Pain. Mark and Myles walking forward as the lights come up. Cool is an understatement

Although, honestly, it's a much better closer than Rise Today.

Personally don't care for "Show Me A Leader." I can listen to "Addicted To Pain" but it's not a highlight from their catalogue for me.

^^ Oh come on, Timo. They were there for the Walk the Sky tour in 2019. They could have been at Graspop in 2020 if it wasn't for the pandemic. They may be back there in 2023 or do their own show. Just ain't happening this year.

I wasn't able to attend their 2019 show. I miss one show, and suddenly they start ignoring Belgium...
I know it's a luxury problem compared to other places in the world. Amsterdam is still only a 2 hours drive from where I live. So please be aware that my comment was just a joke, and not me actually complaining
Also, tonight's the night!

Queensrÿche's new album comes out in October. Album art and title released already and first single + video came out yesterday (it's killer, btw)
Nothing More's new album comes out in October. They have title, art, and 3 singles out already.
