Nashville 5/17/2014
I was so surprised yesterday morning when our local rock station announced the lineup for a mini-festival on 5/17 called 'rock on the row'. Staind and Alter Bridge are the top bill!!!
102.9 the buzz even actually played an AB song for the first time in two years! It was Isolation, but AB none the less. this station has totally ignored the fact that addicted to pain has been at the top of the active rock charts for months. maybe this station-sponsored show will force them to play some more AB.

Nice, how big is Staind, nowadays? Nashville is a decent music town, I think, so this would be another good momentum boost.
My Trip to Orlando and Raleigh to see AB Posts
Re: Nashville 5/17/2014
This is definitely for real. it's been all over the radio this weekend. This is the rock on the range weekend, so i guess AB is playing on Friday in Ohio?
Despite no or very limited airplay, AB played to a full house in 2011 at this same venue (The Cannery, the indoor club part). Smallish club, but a great show.
Tremonti last year was packed, too, at a different club.
There are fans here. We just have no radio support. I know a few DJs at the buzz and many of them love AB. they put Fortress in their top 5 of 2013 on the website. But the previous program directory (now moved to another city) refused to play them with the exception of isolation and ghost for a limited run.

It's at the location of The Cannery and Mercy Lounge. Two clubs in one old canning factory. Mercy Lounge is smaller. The Cannery Ballroom is about 1000 capacity downstairs...this is where AB played on the 3 tour. Cannery Ballroom is one of my least favorite music venues in town due to the layout. stage in a corner, support beams everywhere, etc.AllC392Was wrote:So what does this venue look like? is it a club?
This 'rock on the row' (named so for cannery row off 8th ave) is listed as an outside show with multiple stages. AB/Staind will play at an outdoor stage on the property as i understand. other acts may play inside or at side stages.

Yeah I think I'm in. I'll buy tickets in a month or 2 but I'm only 3 hours a Way
Re: Nashville 5/17/2014
Not huge, not really a headliner. They opened for Creed in 09 for most of the tour. They opened for godsmack last year. They're doing a smaller circuit headline tour now apparently. They're playing a casino nearby with Theory opening. I honestly think Theory is bigger.anguyen92 wrote:Hmmm, all right. I'm not on track but how big is Staind, nowadays?

$75 for tickets. $200 for VIP with a special VIP viewing area plus some other useless stuff. No mention of M/G.

Staind is a "big" band.
Much bigger than Alter Bridge, atleast in the States.
I saw Staind, Godsmack, and Halestorm opening night of Mass Chaos in 2012. Show was packed. Actually ive been to 3 Staind concerts and they're always the real deal. Aaron Lewis is the best live singer ive ever heard.
Id trade Atlanta for this show if I didn't have a road trip planned for the Atlanta gig already. Seeing Staind and AB play the same stage would make me cream myself.

Doing good man. This epic spring concert season really has me wishing I had more time money and resources. There's a solid handful of shows id Jill to go to but likely only Atlanta AB will happen.AllC392Was wrote:How've you been buddy?austin. wrote:Staind is a "big" band.

Negative. I have a hundred bucks in my pocket and need about 500 more to make Atlanta even possibly happen. Need to have better priorities but really wanna see AB.AllC392Was wrote:Any luck with finding a job?austin. wrote:Doing good man. both shows are about the same distance, and Nashville gives me an extra month to plan.... and see my number one favorite band Staind for the fourth time and see AB with them...
who knows. Doing one of the two shows for sure. We'll see what happens...
