I read your previous comments plus saw the movies you listed
but either way, with that being said, what movies would YOU consider to be scary?

Re: Scariest/ Saddest movie you've seen
Well I haven't seen many horror movies and I'm not really a big fan of the genre in movies. But as I said, The Exorcist is the scariest horror movie for me.
I prefer horror video games more. They have much better stories and can be very scary when done right.

Has anyone here ever seen Exorcist 3?
---I'll throw out some names of movies that I probably plan to watch:
The Strangers, Salo, Dancer in the Dark; Synchedone, New York ; Noroi: the Curse; Eraserhead; Hellraiser, Ringu, Irreversible, It Follows, REC, Eden Lake, Funny Games, Event Horizon, Texas Chain Saw Massacre, The Poughkeepsie Tapes, Mulholland Drive,Antichrist, Last House on the Left, The Mist, Dead Silence.
---Human Centipede 2 wasnt really scary, it was just messed up and gross. All in all, it was a pretty dumb movie.

---I just finished Requiem for a Dream.
Damn, what a depressing movie.
The opening credits scene I thought was great cuz it was really building up to something that would happen later. Plus, the soundtrack was well done.

Re: Scariest/ Saddest movie you've seen
I'll throw out some other movies that were maybe scary or supposed to be:
I haven't seen any of these btw.
A Haunting in Connecticut
new amityville horror
cabin in the woods
martyrs
it follows
event horizon
dead silence
the strangers
orphanage
eraserhead
Texas Chain Saw Massacre
eden lake,
descent,
Halloween
mothman prophecies
last house on the left
Audition
Hellraiser
Irreversible
evil dead
salems lot
serbian film
salo
REC
As a side note: Funny Games wasn't scary, it was just a movie that messed with my head a little bit. It wasn't scary, but I wanted to mention it anyways because I guess the movie just stood out to me. The movie screws with you a little bit.

Re: Scariest/ Saddest movie you've seen
I didn't cry, but I admit, Green Mile, Life is Beautiful, Grave of the Fireflies, Schindler's List, and Requeim for a Dream all had some sad moments. From what I remember, each of those movies had a scene or so where I almost cried.
@Violent Corpse Was Fatal Frame scary? What made it so? It didnt look that scary on Youtube but I admit there's probably a big difference between watching someone play something on Youtube vs actually playing the game yourself.

Same here. I felt so awful when I first saw it maybe a year ago, and I might even feel worse even now when I think about it. It's a fantastic movie, but man does it hurt.AllC392Was wrote:Saddest movie right now for me is Rudderless. Beautiful movie.

I read A Fault In Our Stars by John Green a while back and saw the movie a few nights ago. Such a beautiful adaptation. So sad...

Well the atmosphere and ambience makes you really paranoid. There's some really creepy places like a room full of weird japanese dolls and stuff like that. Other than that, Fatal Frame is the only game where I actually thought the enemy creatures were sometimes frightening. Resident Evil and even Silent Hill (my personal favorite) have never managed to scare me with their zombies and monsters. But Fatal Frame ghosts were for some reason pretty scary to me.cheesedip1 wrote:

I saw The Conjuring (the first one. A bit late, yes). I genuinely think it has more funny moments than scary ones. Typical, unoriginal "horror". I don't know why people think this and other similar movies are scary..

Honestly, Million Dollar Baby was pretty good, but the last part of the movie felt contrived. Idk, I just wasnt expecting it I guess.

Hmm something scary.....
That one comic online made me jump, the scary online Korean webcomic. Almost gave me a heart attack.
Not for the faint of heart (the actual thing), but here's a link of PewDePie as he reads it/experiences it, etc. If you want the actual thing Google it, but I wouldnt recommend it unless you are fearless and have balls of steel.
