Re: The Movie Thread
---Why would someone want to watch the same movie over and over? I mean, I guess it depends how many times we are talking about here. I usually like to movie onto a new movie but everyone's different I guess.Micky wrote:Was forced to watch The Notebook with my girlfriend for what feels like the millionth time the other day. ----The Notebook was okay, although there were 2 things I didnt care for in the movie. Other than that, it was okay. I'm not a fan, but I dont hold any ill will towards it either.
---Sometimes I think girls just like that movie cuz its what they are "supposed" to like. Of course, this applies towards men too.
Re: The Movie Thread
I was forced to watch the Notebook for the first time ever with my bf about a year ago (hate those kind of movies). He only did it so he could troll me about it being my favorite movie ever and he still mentions it, to this day (So I guess it could be worse.)Micky wrote:Was forced to watch The Notebook with my girlfriend for what feels like the millionth time the other day. You two pussies
Never was a fan of tear-jerker movies such as Notebook and Titanic. Most girls I know could watch those a million times.
Then again I know LOTR and Pirates of the Caribbean by heart almost so I guess I'm the weird one there.

Event Horizon was somewhat scary.
Leaving Las Vegas was somewhat sad.

Gosling makes me cringe.

Bf wants me to watch Conjuring 1 and 2 with him. I'm not big on horror, I can only watch it when it tries so hard to be scary that it's funny. Am I missing out?

Saw Dr. Strange today. I usually don't watch movies based on comic books, just never got into the genre. But I thought this one looked pretty unique in comparison to most of the ones that have been coming out, so I thought I'd give it a go. Ended up really enjoying it. I'd give it a solid 8/10.

I wanna watch that one too, but going to the movies has gotten so expensive in the weekends and I simply don't have the time during the week when the tickets are generally cheaper, blah

Re: The Movie Thread
Been digging on Charlie Wilson's War lately. Because it's written by Sorkin, it's the kind of film I can repeat watch (much like I do with seasons 2-4 of West Wing). Plus, my son has a project for his AP Govt class where he has to watch it, so I'll be watching it again this weekend.
Anywho, bottom line is: if you dig Sorkin and you haven't seen it, you should check it out.

Been on a Charles Bronson kick lately. Watched all of the Death Wish films. I just finished Mr. Majestic. And I got Murphys Law from Amazon today. Good times.
