I think I like Cauterize album better than Dust.


Dust wasnt bad, but idk, it was just harder for me to get into.

that was my general feeling after hearing all 20 songs at the listening party 18 months ago.. the first 10 appealed to me more than the second 10.. besides one or two songs (Catching Fire for example), the second ten could have been AB songs as i see Trmeonti more as a Metal Band, and Dust has less metal songs..

I gotta say that both albums don't feel nearly as album-ish as AB III and Blackbird did. Even Fortress had that feeling of a song collection. A pretty neat one tho.

I can listen to Cauterize from start to finish and hear a story. From one song to another I can relate it to the previous tune. I just don't get that with Dust.

Even if this is true, I still prefer the songs on Dust any day of the week. Best "collection of songs" out of his three solo albums, IMO

I think I would take the Cauterize album, take off Another heart, tie noose, fall again and put

Once Dead, tore heart out, and Dust in their place.

Don't understand all this critics towards Elvis at all. Enjoying all AB/Slash/Tremonti albums he's been working at. These albums made and kept me fan of this music. Don't think any of those nagging about his work over here would be able to top it. But to each his/her own I suppose. Just thought it became time to offer a different opinion opposite to these critics. Am I the only one over here enjoying the products from these musicians with Elvis ?

I prefer Elvis's production myself accept maybe ABIII which is still an awesome album imo but compare the muddy sound of Tremonti's All i was to Cauterise and Dust which both sound miles better

Was starting to get listener fatigue from TLH. Decided to give Dust a few spins this week, as I'm way behind where I was with Cauterize at this point.

I still really like it. Dust, My Last Mistake, and Unable to See are my favorites.

Anyone know if there are any plans to tour this between AB tour legs next year?

Yeah, while it seems like a bummer that Wolfie seems like he is not going to be focusing on Tremonti and wanting to focus on this solo album, if his solo thing gets a good amount of traction, I can probably see AB picking Wolfgang as an opener for their US shows (especially when California Breed, a band that Myles endorsed, and Like A Storm, a band that Mark endorsed, opened for them).

This aged very well.
