I'm watching the UCI World Road Cycling World Championships. It's 2:30am here in CO and the race just started (in Italy) so we have about 6 more hours to go.

I hate staying up all night for work, but I'll happily do it for a bike race!

Been binge watching Shameless. I can't believe there have been 9 years of this and I'd never really heard of it. It alternates between hilariousl and annoying and repulsive, but it's certainly entertaining. William H Macy is so good. I'd like to hang out with that guy (but not his character, Frank).

Just finished watching the Lord of the Rings trilogy this passed weekend. These hold up so well. Its insane how good they are. Especially when contrasted with their Hobbit counter parts ten years later

I am watching a proshot of Japanese vocalist Aimer at the Budokan Hall back in 2017. Her first time playing at this rather prestigious arena in Tokyo.

NASA TV. Dragon X capsule is getting ready to dock with the ISS. We watched the launch yesterday evening, too. Pretty neat to be able to see all these things live.

Space flight is cool.

Love comparing the reality to the docking scene in Interstellar

15 metres in 3 minutes? That's not possible!

No. It's necessary.

I'm watching this Japanese Live Action called The Way of the Househusband.

It's mainly about a former Yakuza boss that's living his days being, well, a househusband. I've read the manga on this. It's pretty darn funny. He takes all the mundane things about being a househusband/housewife and does those things as if he's still in the yakuza.

I recently finished watching Hannibal about a week or two ago after browsing Netflix for something new to watch...Surprised that I never thought of watching it before. Amazing cast and amazing story. Loved every episode. My only complaint was that it was only 3 seasons for such a quality TV show. Watching it through again right now with my sister who's seeing it for the first time :lol

The IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships. Sweden v Finland right now, and it's 2-1 Swedes at 2nd intermission. I'm always rooting for Sweden and USA in international hockey, but Canada is the favorite in this tourney. Of course they are perennial powers, but they are absolutely loaded this year.

World Juniors Gold Medal game tonight: USA v Canada. I'll root for my country, but there are 3 Avs prospects on Canada and I know all the words to the Canadian anthem, so I'm well prepared for the result.

Just finished The Man in the High Castle on Prime. Started out great and slowly deteriorated so I am now 0 for 2 for “good media finished in 2021.”

Wanda Vision is really really good. The first couple episodes are sort of WTH? but then the story starts leaking and developing, and now I'm all for the next episode to drop.

Yup. I felt the same. Really enjoyed S1 (the opening credits scene is so freaking haunting and discouraging!) but it went downhill once they ran past the end of the book. They also never really adequately explained the multiverse angle, and you can't just put physics in a corner like that.

Bad movie rec: 365 Days.
