Re: MUSE
Muse is great, I enjoy many of their songs, in fact, my favorite album is Black Holes & Revelations.

That's the album I found them on, "Knights of Cydonia." love a ton of their earlier stuff, too!Serialkillerpit wrote:Muse is great, I enjoy many of their songs, in fact, my favorite album is Black Holes & Revelations.
I was fortunate to experience a great, kinetic show in Chicago. They bring it live.
Hoping this year's release will be good.
Re: MUSE
Enjoy Muse as well, espescially the older stuff, hope their new album will be good too, got the oppurtinity to see them live in a few months but the tickets are a bit too expensive for me espescially since they aren't playing some of the older songs anymore

Re: MUSE
Saw them live in 2010, when their new album (which was an amazing album) just came out.
Looking forward to the new album. I'm sure it'll be an interesting album. They stated that they're going into a new direction, and the dubstep tells me they're going to use many electronic elements.. I don't know if I will be able to get into the album as fast as their other albums, but I'm sure it will be a good album, because Matt Bellamy is a genius..

New track online!

I think it's pretty special.. Very bombastic Have to give it a lot more listens, but I like it!
The verses are not really my thing, but the song it it's entirety is huge!
Edit: looks like the entire internet hates or loves this song. Kinda like AB's Elvis.. There's no middleroad

Wow. That was... Something else. Not sure if I like it yet, but I applaud them for pushing themselves further into insanely creative directions. Track definitely needs the context of the rest of the album; sounds like a piece of something bigger.
Needless to say, THE 2ND LAW is going to be really fucking interesting, if nothing else.
Edit: Is there any confirmation that this song is actually going to be included on the new album?

Re: MUSE
Yeah, I've changed my mind. Hearing a high-quality, edited version of the track (the released version edits out the orchestral intro) has brought me down on the side of "love it". It's bat-shit insane in all of the best ways possible, and I love the way that Bellamy uses both guitar and vocals as textures instead of in more traditional compositional ways.
I'm very excited to see how it fits into the album, too - the orchestral intro made me feel like it might be the penultimate track, but the edited version almost sounds like an opener.

Re: MUSE
The ending is just insane sounding lol. This track seems to be getting its fair share of hate around the web, but I think it's pretty cool. Part of it almost reminded me of Queen.

Love them or hate them, you can't deny Muse have massive balls.
You never know what to expect with them, and Matthew Bellamy is an amazing songwriter who never rests on his laurels.

Yea, that 's the only part where I'm like: I wish they didn't do that but the rest of the song is awesome!nagpo wrote:1:43 Is when it just starts sounding silly.

The 'Dubstep Song' is out
I like it. It's not really my thing, but it's interesting music.. And even when they're doing stuff like this, you can still hear it's Muse..
